We would like to remind conference participants that Carloforte is situated on an island off the coast of Sardinia and it takes approximately one and a half hours, including the ferry crossing, to reach Cagliari airport.
For this reason, the organizing secretary has arranged for a shuttle service to be available from Cagliari airport to Carloforte on the 15th/16th July and back on the 20th July. The cost of the shuttle service is included in the conference fee, and it can be used by people and their 'accompanying friends and family', who have registered in advance for the conference. Places on the shuttle service are limited and reserved only for these people.
Anybody who has not registered and paid for the conference in advance, or who is arriving/departing on a date different from those mentioned above, will have to make alternative arrangements for transport, via taxi. There are no direct bus links between Cagliari airport and Carloforte.
We would also like to inform you that the first shuttle service from Carloforte to Cagliari airport on Sunday 20th July will leave at 7am. It will reach the airport at approximately 8.30am. Please take this into consideration when booking your return flight. If you need to leave before then, it is possible to book a taxi beforehand and pay separately. We have listed some private taxi companies on the conference website, in case anyone needs to arrange this.
On arrival at Cagliari airport, two members of the conference organization will accompany participants to the shuttle bus. On arrival at Carloforte, participants will be offered help and assistance, information about hotels, conference venues etc. Participants can then sign in for the conference at the Istituto Nautico, where they will receive the conference pack and conference pass, which allows access to all conference events and evening entertainment. It is not possible to pay for a pass on the spot.
N.B. The organizers will not be able to assist people who are not registered for the conference. They cannot accept payment of the conference fee on the spot, nor can they book taxis.

Ricordiamo ai partecipanti della conferenza che Carloforte è su un isola e per raggiungerla dall'aeroporto di Cagliari ci vuole più di un'ora tra strada e traghetto.
Per questo motivo la segreteria organizzativa ha messo a disposizione, per i giorni 15, 16 e 20 luglio, un servizio navetta dall'aeroporto a Carloforte e ritorno.
Il costo del servizio navetta è incluso nella quota di iscrizione e quindi ne può usufruire solo chi si è iscritto alla conferenza (regolari, studenti e accompagnatori.) I posti sulle navette della conferenza saranno perciò riservati, contati e nominativi.
Tutti gli altri (chi arriva o parte prima o dopo queste 3 date e gli accompagnatori che non hanno pagato alcuna quota d'iscrizione) dovranno organizzarsi autonomamente tramite taxi, poiché all'aeroporto normalmente non c'è un servizio di trasporti che conduca a Carloforte.
Avvertiamo inoltre che la prima navetta della conferenza che lascierà Carloforte domenica 20 luglio, partirà alle 7 del mattino e, quindi, non sarà all'aereporto prima delle 8:30. Preghiamo pertanto di considerare questo nella prenotazione del volo di ritorno, se non si vuole ricorrere ai taxi, che partono a tutte le ore ma che, ripetiamo, vanno prima prenotati e poi pagati. A tal proposito, per vostra comodità, sul sito della conferenza abbiamo inserito i recapiti di alcuni professionisti che svolgono servizio di trasporto da e per Carloforte.
All'arrivo in aeroporto, gli iscritti troveranno due persone dello staff organizzativo che li imbarcheranno sul bus navetta. Arrivati a Carloforte i partecipanti riceveranno la prima assistenza e le informazioni su hotel e sedi congressuali. Saranno poi accolti nella segreteria, presso l'Istituto Nautico, dove ritireranno il materiale didattico e il pass nominativo che permetterà loro di partecipare ad ogni attività organizzata per il convegno, compresi gli eventi serali, i cui posti saranno riservati ai soli iscritti e perciò non accessibili agli altri, nemmeno pagando.
IMPORTANTE: Gli organizzatori non potranno in alcun modo assistere chi non è registrato. Non potranno ricevere denaro sul posto per la quota di iscrizione né per altro, e non effettueranno alcuna prenotazione di taxi.
